Whether you are an athlete, recovering from acute or chronic injuries, post-surgery recovery or simply want to increase mobility through various techniques then this style of treatment could be for you!
This Sports Massage Therapy treatment works with musculoskeletal & neuromuscular systems to promote better range of motion, increase circulation, relieve symptoms of nerve impingement, and reducing scar tissue adhesions. These sessions begin with traditional massage therapy treatments followed by various Sports-Related techniques such as Soft Tissue Release (STR), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Joint Mobilizations, and Assisted Stretching. Some vigorous tapotement techniques may be used to further relax muscles however these techniques will be determined whether or not appropriate to use during your health history and treatment plan discussion. It is highly recommended you bring comfortable clothing or gym wear that allows your body to stretch freely (ex: shorts, sweat pants, yoga pants, t-shirt/tank top/long sleeve t-shirt). Alternatively, draping linens will be performed safely and securely by your massage therapist.
