Cupping Massage
Cupping is contraindicated for those with the following conditions:
• Skin Lesions or Inflammation (already present)
• Organ Failure (Renal, Hepatic, and/or Cardiac)
• Hemophilia or similar bleeding disorders
• Varicose Veins, Spider Veins

Caution is taken while performing Cupping on individuals with the following:
• Diabetes with complications or an acute infection
• Taking anticoagulant medication ex. Aspirin, warfarin etc.
• Severe chronic disease such as Heart Disease
• You are pregnant, are within 6 weeks after giving birth, or are menstruating
• Lymphedema or Anemia
• New Tattoos (localized)
• Recently given blood or undergone a medical procedure

Cupping Marks
and What They Mean
Healthy Blood Circulation:
This indicates that the soft tissues are in harmony with its functionality, metabolic nourishment & proper waste removal
Moderate to Severe Stagnation:
This indicates that the soft tissues have stagnant blood and cellular debris that was not successfully removed during the body's natural healing process.
Congestion & Toxins:
This indicates that there was a past injury with lack of cellular debris clean up causing adhesions and scar tissue accumulation.
Blood and Qi Deficiency:
This indicates that there is lack of blood circulating within the soft tissues and Qi (means life force in Traditional Chinese Medicine) therefore nourishment is depleted within these tissues.
